Earth Day 2017

We live in a time of controversy in relation to climate change, of heightened awareness of development’s effect on water, land and space.  As we contemplate the meaning of Earth Day, I feel the earth is crying out for dignity and honor, for tenderness and mercy.

To this end, Saturday, April 22nd on Earth Day, we will gather in the back yard of Eremos to build small cairns (stones stacked on the earth) and will honor the earth as we do so. These cairns will guide people using the labyrinth (located at the center of the yard).

If you would like to join us from 9:30 – 11:00am, please bring a few stones you feel are stackable.  Or if you would like to create a cairn in your yard, deck or apartment complex, please join us in mind and heart as we give thanks to the earth who has held us for millions of years.

Blessings,

Jean
